Driver doesn't exist. What is there to do??

Feb 2, 2007 3:25AM PST

Hi all,

In around October/Nover time I bought an external HD off ebay which worked perfectly when I started using it. Now it's started asking me for a driver.

I'll either turn it on already plugged in or turn it on the plug it in. Either way the "Balloon" in the corner pops up saying "New usb item" or something alike. 2 minutes later the installation wizard will appear asking for a driver.
I've done the un-installation of hardware in the system bit but no luck.

I'm close to throwing it out the window with anger now.
Can I please have some help to overcome this problem?

System: XP pro on laptop
Laptop model: HP Omnibook 4150
RAM: 128
Internal memory: 20gb (hence the external)
Make: Unknown
Model number: again, unknown

I hope this made sense, if there was anything misunderstood just ask.

Thanx,

Pete =[

Thanx for that. Sadly I can't find what I need.
When I have the money again I'll be buying a new one.
