dreamweaver cache

Jun 9, 2007 1:59PM PDT

hey, i would like to know how to clean dreamweaver's cache or some other alternative. My problem is that lots of times after working in it, i close it ant want to rename a folder/file or move it or whatever, and it i get an error message, i am totally sure it is because of dreamweaver.

The way I get around that so far is by restarting my pc which is a total pain....

I would also like to know some other alternative if there is one, so that I would not have to wait for dw to re create the cache next time i open it.

thanks, Marcelo

Renaming a file
Jun 10, 2007 12:46AM PDT

When you rename in Dreamweaver it's checking the file's relation to the other files in your site. Try hitting the cancel button when it starts checking for relationships. Or change the file name outside of dreamweaver.

1. I dont think is a bug, as this happens with most programs.
2. I'm trying to do it outside of dreamweaver, and the problem as i said before is after i've worked with it and close it, then i go and try to rename, or delete something and it wont let me. It is actually an windows error message, but I know it is beacuase dreamweaver "locks" the files becuase of it's cache.

ps: i actually got the whole cs3 for 200....haha....lucky me.
