Hello, I am Dr Manahel Thabet. I want to know which one is better Avast or Norton for my windows 8 Operating system?

This is a subjective area.
Some folks like suites (paid version) some folks like plain (free version).
I use the free version of avast and trim it down to file shield/mail shield/web shield.
That works for me but your needs may be different.

I find it's still us when it comes to protection. Windows 8? I'm using Windows Defender and for the browser two add ons which are Web Of Trust and Adblock+

That is what I used for over 2 years now but I don't go to shady sites (thanks to WOT).

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
