Downloading/transfer from Camcorder to PC

by prabhatmishra1 / August 6, 2008 7:45 PM PDT

Whenever I try to download from my MiniDV Camcorder (Sony DCR-HC36) through USB cable and using Software provided by Sony it downloads the MiniDV into PC but size of Downloaded video becomes huge (1 MiniDV of 1 hour makes a 25GB-30GB of video file. In addition to the above, it makes a file of 1 to 10 minutes video file and I have to send the command to download again and again. Please give solution to this problem.

We tell why in the forum sticky. And the reason it's in the sticky is that your post doesn't need the repeating answer.

The current top two posts have the sticky flag on them so try that.

If you are using USB then we address that in that post so people don't have to cover this issue repeatedly. Feel free to ask but be aware you might get referred to the sticky.

In addition to that I could not get solution to my problem :

The solution is a firewire connection.

It's a common issue about USB failing. No one here has a fix for that.

If you feel it should work then make it a warranty issue. Again we cover this in the forum sticky so members don't have to repeat the answer each time someone can't get USB to work.

This is why we use the forum sticky for questions about MiniDV camcorders and USB.

-> If you feel it should work, we'll give you more time to season.

See that little yellow sticky note to the left of those words?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
