General discussion

downloading/renting movies

Sep 2, 2005 10:03AM PDT

first of all, i apologize if this post belongs in another category!

am kinda interested in downloading movies but places like netflix requires that you rent X number of movies per month to make it worthwhile and i don't have the time to watch that many movies.

i like the concept of just downloading movies vs driving to a rental place and then driving back to return the dvd so my question is this:

do you guys know of a business that allows you to rent (even better would be downloading) dvd movies online on a "pay-as-you-go" kind of plan? note that it should have a huge selection, particularly non-hollywood/foreign/independent section.

thanks for any suggestions you might have!

In my part of the world, it's already available. I expect the titles to grow over time.

You may want to look at Netflix again.

They have more than one plan.

I pay $10 a month and can easily rent about 5 or 6 movies per month.
