Downloading problems anyone?

by jel71 / April 24, 2008 9:31 PM PDT

I know cnet has changed their site but I find it very hard to download programs from their site. Everytime I do it says thank you for your download and no window shows up to ask where i want to put the file. What the heck is going on ? I have followed all the tips that cent has to offer and still nothing. What am I doing wrong?

I am having major download problems too...
by CardsFan29 / May 4, 2008 7:12 AM PDT

I can't for the life of me download AVG 8.0.1 Free edition from Download.com today.

I have tried on two computers with 3 total browsers and two different operating systems and the download stops early.

Computer 1: AMD Athlon 1Ghz (Desktop) with XP Home
Computer 2: AMD Turion 64 x2 (laptop) with Vista Home Premium.

I have tried downloading the exe using IE 7, Firefox(latest version), and Safari 3.1.1, but no luck.

I think something might be up with the servers right now.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
