There are issues with older versions so let me share the one liner that can save many grief and lost time. Uninstall the Office "Demo" version before you install Office (any version.)

I am a teacher who needs to get Excel and Powerpoint on my new computer which came preloaded with Vista. I've heard and seen mixed reviews about the compatibility of Microsoft Home and Student 007 with Vista and I'm just starting to learn how touchy Vista can be. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
