Downloading DVDs to Archos

Jul 27, 2004 9:39AM PDT

I hope someone out there can help.
I have tried using windows XP to download DVDs on to my Archos AV400. What is the best programme to use? Am I doing something wrong, or is XP just refusing to recognise my pocket video recorder?
Thanks in anticipation.
Steve Dwyer.

Sorry, I can't offer best. But look up dvd2avi on google to see a road out.

Again, be careful about that word "best." I never find such. Except in my S.O.

You have 2 ways of doing this it will take time but unfortunatly DVD's always take for eva to convert!

You can get Max DVD to AVI Converter 4.0 thats what i use but befor i got that wat i did was i put my DVD into a dvd player then played it on the TV or stick it directly into the DVD player and recorded with my Archos Av400 on LCD the quality is not great but it is good enough you can put it on TV but that is just wasting space. LCD 1H 50 mins is about 1.6GB TV I do not know I have not tryed it.

Hope this has helped!
