Downloading Definitions Failing.

by evreux / April 1, 2005 10:08 PM PST

Running Dell Dimension 8400 PC. 160g HD, 1g RAM, Windows XP SP1 and SP2. In addition to SpyBot Search and Destroy and Ad-Watch SE Plus I have Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta 1 and CounterSpy Version 1.0.29 and Definition Version 105. A couple days ago received mail for update to CounterSpy bringing it to current 1.0.29 version and raising Definitions to 150. Definitions remained at the old 105 instead of going to 150. Since initional instalation of both Anti Spyware and CounterSpy have not been able to install updated Definitions in either program. When I select upgrade in either one I receive the same message saying: "Warning: Could not connect to internet." I am connected via DSL, not the light, and have no problem downloading Norton updates. IE is not set on maximun security. Any halp will really be appreciated. Chuck in NC.

It is also possable that your Spy programs have a conflict with each other. A example, you can not have #2 different virus scan programs. You may need to delete your most un-favorite Spy program or programs, and just run one. Hope this helps. Bob

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
