Downloading AVG Free Edition

by J1cmpbll / October 1, 2009 4:45 AM PDT

When at the end of the installation this pops up.

Installer initialization failed due to the following error:
Warning: Internal error. Dialog with id "AvgDetectedDlg" was not found in the setup.

Any ideas?

Hi,
could you please check this:
- open menu Start -> Run -> enter "%tmp%" and confirm OK
- find folder named "AVG Download manager" (or similar) and remove it
- run the installation through download manager again

Was the installation successful?

Do you have installed AVG Standalone LinkScanner before?

Thanks

Hi akmehmet53,

The Ukash Virus family is wide spread in the latest weeks. Please be informed that AVG protects you from all known variants of this virus. Procedure mentioned in the article should work.

Please describe your query in more details if this is not what you were looking for.

Thanks.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
