What model is your computer?
The version of OS X that you are running is 5 versions behind the current one.
That said, there should be at least 1 photo editing app that will work with your version

Please recommend one because ive downloaded many and as soon as i click on installer it says that its not compatible with the version i'm using...am i missing something?
Give the forum folk some time to dig them up.
Well, some G5 owners get irate, upset or flame anyone that doesn't know why it matters.
Add +G5 to that search.
Bob
adding G5 didn't bear much fruit , it's a different dimension => https://encrypted.google.com/#q=free+photo+editor+for+mac+G5++os+x+10.4.11
I thought maybe Gimp but not sure, have a look ->http://www.gimp.us.com/free-photo-editor/gimp-photo-editing-features.php
Digger
but how about running a linux distro in a VB and using one of the editors.
(don't shoot the newbie!)

My bet is they are after the new apps. And with a G5 while great in its day (which can inflame their owners) is on average over a decade old. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Mac_G5
They eventually learn to seek out older titles.
Bob
If I wrote more, I'd duplicate prior discussions about it.
Is that Gimp is too hard for average Joe/Jane to install. I didn't post how here because I want to know what you know. That is, all about that is on the web but what a tall building you have to leap to get Gimp installed.
That's why after all this I think some older app, even if you had to pay is best.
Bob
What old app could i purchase...i'm editing and cropping photos for an ebay business...
Looked in apps folder...dont see it...excuse my ignorance please...thanx
icon is a picture with a camera.
You should have iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD and iTunes which all came with that machine.

to a new computer? Or Crossover 8?
http://www.macworld.com/article/1143037/crossover8.html
"CodeWeavers says that CrossOver 8 will be the last to support OS 10.4 (Tiger). Versions of CrossOver released before version 8 are not compatible with OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Also, if you're running OS 10.5 (Leopard), you need to use CrossOver 6.2 or later."
It's sort of like WINE in Linux. I use WINE to run windows based LViewPro rather than being confined just to GIMP.
