Downloaded flashplayer 3 times but is not recognized

Aug 6, 2010 4:38AM PDT

My son has been watching youtube and other videos on his Win 2000 machine with no problems for over a year. Now youtube says that he's gotta download flashplayer, which he's done - three times. He gets to the part where it says "Done" every time. Youtube keeps coming back with 'you must download and install flashplayer.

take a look at "add and remove", see if the program has been installed or not. Could it be that you have download it but have not install it? Just thinking out loud.

For some reason as a Firefox plugin, it was 'disabled'; just had to 'enable' it again.

Thanks for the suggestions Happy

That's how these web sites work now, using browser "Plugins" or add-ons.
