Downloaded e-mail not showing up in Outlook Express

by craftgram / January 31, 2009 11:10 PM PST

I do not know what happened but a few days ago when I opened Outlook
Express 6, it showed in the bottom right hand corner that the e-mail
was downloading but they are not showing up in my inbox. Anyone
have any suggestions to get this corrected?

Any rules active ...

to automatically transfer them to other folders?

For example, I made a rule that moves all mails where the sender contains the word Casino the a map called spam. So I never see them in the inbox.

It won't harm, by the way, to do a File>Folder>Compact this folder for the Inbox. And to move some mails out of it if it's too big (but it's difficult to say what "too" is).

I am not trying to move e-mails to other folders, I am trying to get the e-mails to show up in the inbox.

Try Current View on the View menu, and then click All Messages or Unread Messages.

I have tried that before and it made no difference.

I usually have to delete the mailboxes and rules to get OE to behave again. Hope you had a backup.
