What I would like to do is download a YouTube video so that I can burn it onto a DVD and watch it on TV. Anyone knows how to do that? Is it possible?

Let's read this link.
http://www.youtube.com/static?template=terms shares that if there is a Download link, sure, do that!

Since you stated DVD I'm thinking Video DVD which you can make with the neat free tool -> DVD FLICK (see google.)

It tells us that if it's allowed the page will show the download button.

I'm guessing you want to break your agreement with YouTube?

I did not want to break any agreement or do anything illegal or unethical, There was just one particular video that I would like to watch in the better picture and audio quality of my TV.

Think of who hosts these forums. Now think if the discussion is about how to get around content restrictions. You can guess why there are so few tube downloader discussions at this point.

Then again, there's always research.
