Download Reliability Updates?

Aug 22, 2007 10:23AM PDT

My Vista machine at home does not have an internet connection. Trying to download the update to my XP laptop did not work due to the stupid Microsoft Validation process. Is there any way to get the update to my Vista machine? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I Had No Problems Using An XP Comp To Download From...

..Of course, my XP Pro and Home versions are legal and I used Internet Explorer versions 6 & 7 to perform the downloads. Either one worked fine for me. (It gets a little tough when using Firefox or such so I used IE instead.) And yes, you must validate your version of windows but it shouldn't be hard as long as your version is legal.

Hope this helps.

...came already loaded with an OEM version of Windows XP, which I didn't get an install CD for by the way. Don't know why the updates wouldn't download, although I was using Firefox. I use Firefox almost exclusively. Thanks for the link to the alternative download sites.
