Question

Download Latency

May 9, 2017 8:25PM PDT

Have a Lenovo notebook with Windows 10 Home. Download a lot of youtube videos but now see downloads are slowing to a halt. C drive has 709GB of 800GB free. Have always used diskcleanup. Recent runs show space regained but downloads are still nearly frozen. What else can be implemented? What other diagnostics could be launched?

Clarification Request
The YouTube issue.

Is that YouTube forbids downloads and while folk find YouTube downloaders then Google implements a new stopper and the war escalates.

If you only download YouTube complain to the app's author.

Answer
Tried Re-initializing Your Router/Modem?
May 10, 2017 9:36AM PDT

Turn OFF all computers on your network. Then turn OFF your router. (Use the on/off switch or unplug it entirely) Then turn OFF your modem (if it's separate from the router.) Wait 10 minutes. Now turn ON the modem. Wait two minutes for it to initialize with your ISP. Then turn ON the router if it's separate from your modem. Wait two minutes. Then turn ON the computer.

Hope this helps.
