by anonymous3248989 / January 22, 2013 5:53 AM PST

Whenever I set the Installer setting on CNET to OFF, the settings won't save when I close my browser. Using Google Chrome 25 Beta, WIndows 7

The setting is cookie based...

It remembers your setting based on a cookie that is set in your browser once you have saved the preferences. So if you delete your browser cookies, the setting will be lost.

Also as Bob mentioned, you are using Chrome 25 Beta and I'm not too if it will work correctly with that browser at the moment.

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
