Oct 19, 2011 12:01PM PDT

I'm trying to download the free MP3 cutter but it's saving on my computer as
cnet_FreeMP3Cutter_exe.exi\eisDlm=1

How can I get this corrected?

Try the Direct Download link

You can either run that CNET installer, or return to that Review page and click the "Direct Download" link.

I see you've had a response

from the Download.com team.

I must admit that I failed to read the file name properly and didn't see the weird file.extension on it. That "_exe.exi\eisDlm=1" at the end makes no sense whatsoever.

There has been another report of this in another thread, and that was reported to the Download.com team there by another Mod with reference to your problem as well. That is why the Download.com team have replied to you.

You are left only with the "Direct Download" link to try and that should work.

Good luck and I hope the workaround works.

Hello HighLunker,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

We are actively working to get it resolved, and should have a solution in place soon.

We thank you for your patience while we work on it. This thread will be updated once a solution is in place.

In the meantime, you may go to the products page on Download.com, and download via the "direct download" link under the "download now" box. You will only see the direct download link if you are signed in to your CNET account.

Regards,
Gregg
