Download and Save files to external Hard Drive

Nov 7, 2008 10:27PM PST

I'm a rookie at the MAC. Can you download and save files to an external hard drive. PC's give you a choice but I can't find a way to do it on the Mac????

Thanks

I'm using OS x Tiger. I only want to use Tiger to download and save files to an external hard drive. Is there a utility that can do the deed????

Thanks

Even in Tiger you may use Finder.

http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/finder.html for example is the file manager or browser.

You may need to share not what OS you use but the application you download with. As I see it, Finder could let you move files from one drive to another with ease.

You do not get a choice each time you download something but you can change the location of files that are downloaded by changing the choice in preferences of the browser you are downloading with.
