Download Accelerator Plus problem

Apr 24, 2010 10:13PM PDT

I installed DAP 9.4 from download.com in my Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit system. I also installed the DAP plugin for 64 bit IE as DAP's installer recommended it. But DAP is not working in any of the browsers in my system(firefox, chrome, opera, IE). I tried uninstalling and then again installing DAP but to no avail. I also tried donloading the program from the program's webpage, but still the same issue.

I have Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate - and DAP is working totally normally with either 32 or 64 bit Internet Explorer.

You may need to browse the FAQ's etc on their website to see if you can get any ideas from them on what to check
http://www.speedbit.com/help/?V=9.4.0.6

Failing that helping you you could contact their support area from that web page

Their support person diagnosed the problem due to Comodo Internet Security(64 bit). But after that they never replied. I uninstalled CIS and DAP is working fine. But till March, I ran Windows 7 RC (32 bit) with both CIS(32 bit) and DAP working properly. I tried adding an exception to CIS for DAP, but it did not clear my problem.
The problem is that DAP doesn't even load at statup, and thus there is no taskbar icon either. Even clicking on the application icon to start it up also doesn't work.
