Downgrading back to windows XP

Aug 26, 2007 11:26AM PDT

I had a windows xp media center edition 2005 a couple of weeks ago, until i received some software problems and i thought that it would better for me to upgrade to windows xp home prmium(an express upgrade from hp). But before, i made some recovery disks(i dont know how they work) using hp recovery cd/dvd creator. So now i am having a couple of more complications.

In other words i want to downgrade from vista to XP...
But i dont have any idea how.

Thank you in advance!

Do you have a full Windows XP CD?

If your answer is yes then just put it in and boot to it and when it lists everything on your hard drive delete everything that shows up and install on the entire unformatted hard drive that will be created when you delete everything.

It is faster if you choose quick format when you get the choice.

You must have gotten a Vista DVD with your PC so if you ever want to restore it to Vista put it in the drive and boot to it and install Vista again.
