Double-LAYER DVD Disc

I have a Double-layer DVD burner on my PC. Can DL Discs(8.5GB) be played on home players? Are there any home units that can play these discs?

Dual Layer

There are here in Japan... and I'm sure there will be wherever you are sooner or later. However, I wouldn't be too quick to hop along with video technology. As you can see by reading mosts posts, the masses are still having enough trouble with the format incompatiblities of the single-layer family of discs. Cool to make, but only you will be able to enjoy them... for the time being, anyway.
