Double Connection Error Message

Mar 5, 2004 5:08PM PST

While checking my stocks on the Ameritrade streamer I was disconnected and given an error message that stated that there was another connection to this streamer with the same username and password. This has happened several days in a row. I have logged on to the streamer before from my work, but not recently. I have recently upgraded to AOL 9.0. This was around the time the problem started. Any help for this problem would be much appreciated.

Contact AOL or Ameritrade.

The helpdesk might be able to either correct the situation or tell you more details of what's wrong. Such as when that other connection logged on, and what's his ip-address.

I see two possibilities. Either it's a problem with your computer. There's really nobody else logged in, but somehow the connection is made twice by your AOL 9.0 software. Or there is a (semi-permanent) other connection from some other computer indeed.

You could do some research by trying to log in from a different computer (at your work for example) and see if that works. Probably, it's one of the first things the helpdesk will ask, if they can't see anything strange themselves: "does it work elsewhere?".

Hope this helps.
