Dorm(Home) theater help please

Mar 28, 2006 7:43AM PST

This coming fall I will be rooming with two other guys who wanted to have a functional surround sound system. Basically we want to be able to watch HD cable and DVDs and play Xbox on it. The problem is we don't know how to make that work with the speakers we have. I personally own a 7.1 pc speaker system and one of the guys own a 5.1 pc speaker system. Both of these systems are analog. I'm kind of hoping there is some magic bullet that will be able to solve our problem. However, any serious solution or help will be greatly appreciated.
