Donald Trump is in "excellent physical health," his physician wrote in a medical note

AND "overweight"?

How does that work?

How much should it matter to voters
Sep 15, 2016 9:47AM PDT

who've elected presidents of every shape and kind for more than 2 centuries. We've had them from 5'4" to 6'4" and one who was over 300 lbs. I'm really not as concerned about the reported health issues of either candidate and I suppose there are some folks who'd rather see the VP choice take over anyway. We've had one president weakened by polio who died in office while in is early '60s. So what's the big deal? Should we be looking for an Olympic athlete type? We may have the lower the age requirement if physical fitness is the highest priority. But, if we do that, we may not get the brains to go with the brawn.

You do realize that
Sep 15, 2016 10:01AM PDT

he's 6'3", don't you? He weighs 236....about 15 pounds 'overweight' with normal cholesterol levels with low blood pressure. That's pretty freaking healthy for a 70+ year old man.

Now...compare that with hilLIARY's health records....
hypothyroid, on cumadin, a history of DVT, 2005-faints before a speech, 2009-falls and breaks her elbow, 2011-falls boarding a plane, 2012-faints and hits head getting a concussion which delays her Benghazi testimony and gets a blood clot in her brain, 2013-wears special glasses for Benghazi hearing due to dizziness and her husband states publicly that it took her six months to recover from the concussion/blood clot, Feb.2016-falls going up steps and is aided by Sec.Service, Aug.2016-blames her concussion for 39 memory issues during her FBI testimony, Sept.2016-coughing blamed on allergies but is pneumonia and can't stand up at the curb waiting for her car and is nearly on her knees before getting shoved into the car by 2 Sec.Service agents and her aide behind her and blames 'overheating' on a morning that was 77 degrees with a strong breeze (watch the trees in the videos).....then her husband goes on air saying she 'frequently' (which he quickly 'corrected' to 'rarely' and is edited by the media to remove the word 'frequently') has near or complete fainting issues over the years, and she herself stated on air publicly that she has these issues but can't recall how many but she can usually 'control' it.

Now look at how short she is and those really, really wide hips and huge thighs that can't be hidden even in pantsuits.....is she overweight for her height or is this all because of her hypothyroid she's treated for? And, yes, because my DIL had her thyroid removed due to cancer, I already know that one of the symptoms IS weight gain.....BUT much of that can be controlled via medication which hilLIARy is already on.

Yeah.....I think Trump's health can be considered to be excellent, especially if you want to compare it to hers.

6'3" 236 lbs?.....You are overweight.
To obtain a normal body weight, you must lose between 36.78 and 87.99 pounds.

AND

"Normal" cholesterol? I heard he was taking statins

Mr. Trump takes a statin, which is normally used to control cholesterol, and which has kept his blood pressure low.

So He eats lots of junk food and takes pills to compensate...instead of cutting back on the junk food?

Campaigning is NOT "exercise" Pointing his finger and wagging his tongue is NOT exercise.

Most people over 60

regularly take a statin as a safety precaution against high cholesterol, even if your levels are already normal because as you age you are more susceptible to increasing your levels based on years of habit eating. His levels are normal NOW....and that's all that counts.

As for his weight and your 'numbers'.....have you noticed that he is not a 'small boned' tall man? 215 or so is actually considered to be a good weight for how his bone structure is.

No comment on her at all? That figures............

Start a thread....I'll respond with comments about TheRUMP.

I post about TheRUMP, YOU want to talk about Hillary.

have you noticed that he is not a 'small boned' tall man?

I've "noticed" he's got a large gut, big mouth, a terrible looking "rug" and a big fat face, and I don't like his hand gestures........ And HIS BMI is 29.5.... overweight, almost in the "obese" zone>30.

regularly take a statin as a safety precaution against high cholesterol,

High blood cholesterol is linked to CVD events and is an important risk factor. Reducing high blood cholesterol, is thus an important way to reduce the chances of suffering a CVD event. Statins - cholesterol lowering drugs - (e.g. simvastatin, pravastatin, atorvastatin) are the first-choice treatments.

NOT eating food with high cholesterol also prevents high cholesterol. Stuff his face with KFC, take a cholesterol pill....Living the good life....

IF Hillary isn't taking statins and has lower cholesterol. She is in better shape physically than TheRUMP?

Normal cholesterol and more importantly
Sep 15, 2016 1:57PM PDT

is the ratio of HDL to total. The target is to be less than 3.5. Trump is 2.7. Below 2.0 would be extremely rare and less than 1 is mathematically impossible. Statins reduce both HDL and LDL so sometimes have little to no affect on the ratio.

Thyroid removal and metabolic issues
Sep 15, 2016 10:36AM PDT

Mine was cut from my throat too and about 13 years ago. The treatment is a synthetic T3, T4, or a combination depending on other metabolic issues. Gaining weight for no apparent reason would likely be treated by raising the dose. In fact, if the thyroid was removed because it was cancerous, the doctor wants to keep the TSH low by prescribing a slightly higher dose than body weight would indicate. My own problem is that I can't keep weight on despite a ravenous appetite for cookies and ice cream.

bmi 18.9 for a 72 old is better...and NO statins.
