But look what information you supplied for the forum to work with. Not a word about the PC that had the issue.
You are right the the real deal will have issues if the Live does.
Bob
I have tried both the mepix live cd and the knoppix live cd. The KNOPPIX cd did not work at all. When detecting the firewire (which I do not have) it came up with a fatal error:
modprobe: FATAL: could not read '/lib/modules/2.6.11/kernel/drivers/input/evedev.ko: Not a directory'
When I ran Mepix I was only able to run it in the low hardware detection mode. What I saw of Mepix I really liked and on other computers I have seen Ubuntu. I would like to add some sort of Linux on my computer which has XP Home SP2 on it right now.
I'm wondering if these problems are just because I'm running off of live cds instead of my hard-drive or if my computer has personal problems with Linux. Please advise me on whether or not to load Linux (Ubuntu or Suse) onto my computer.
Thanks,
GT
