Don't quite see all the fuss about Vista issues

Jan 5, 2008 12:26PM PST

I read all the discussions on these forums, and read how everybody was bashing Vista, how it was slow and was incompatible, but I haven't had any of these problems, any issues I suggest downloading Windows Live OneCare Safety Scanner and doing an overnight full scan and that will fix any issue with registy and speed. Also the beta for SP1 is availible and I tried it on a computer that was having problems and it was like a new machine, faster file transfers, better energy efficiency, and it was on Vista Basic, which was really bad. I run Home Premium and have no issues at present, but will let you know if I do.

Also Windows Defender if it finds Spyware will tell you to download Malware Crush, it is a trojan file, so don't download it if you value your computer and thankfully AVG found it, I had a desktop running XP and a trojan activated and the computer's hard drive was corrupted and I had to trash it and buy my Vista Home Premium Dell laptop and am happier with it than I was with XP, honestly I liked Windows Me and 98SE better than XP.

Is your Vista 32 or 64 bit?

..........if I didn't have the 64 bit version. What really upsets me is HP didn't tell me it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find drivers. I specifically purchased an HP wireless all-in-one to use with my new HP laptop. Guess what! The printer software won't install. It installed perfectly on my XP desktop and old laptop. The printer is on my network and works great. I love it!

I called HP yesterday and they are suppose to send me a cd with the proper drivers. I asked why they were not included with the printer. The answer I got was the "cd will be at no charge to you." I told him that is exactly what I expected.

Well, that's my rant.
