Don't forget your holiday stamps

Post Office Page
On September 3, 2009, in Washington, DC, the Postal Service? issued a 44?cent, Eid special stamp, designed/calligraphed by Mohamed Zakariya of Arlington, Virginia.

This stamp was first issued in 2001 with a 34?cent denomination, and with the same design, a 37?cent denomination in 2002, 39?cent denomination in 2006, 41?cent denomination in 2007, and 42?cent denomination in 2008.

Contrary to a recent letter going around, Obama is NOT the one who insisted the post office create this stamp since it's first copy appeared in 2001.

They thank you for your concern and question your motives.

often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting ...

Ramadan in 2009 will start on Friday, the 21st of August and will continue for 30 days until Saturday, the 19th of September.

Making sure Obama isn't blamed.

If you haven't gotten the email going around, you will, eventually. Started my search. Half of it was right, the other half of it was wrong. Stamp first issued in 2001, but seemingly has a half life longer than uranium, as it keeps getting kicked up as the price increases, more times than any other stamp I remember. That would be a good trivia question; What stamp in the USPS has survived the longest time of issue across several price changes?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
