Don't judge the whole company on one incedent...
Nov 13, 2005 11:29PM PST

Every maker turns out lemons once in a while, and every maker has resellors that are less wonderful than others. Give Toshiba a chance, if you haven't already, call the company and explain your grievance. If you don't get satisfaction, respectfully demand to speak with a supervisor. Document your problem in writing and send it to a corporate customer servic e-mail address (not the sales arm of the company). Good luck.

I can Judge the Toshiba service in Portugal
Nov 14, 2005 12:13AM PST

Thanks for your reply.
I know that every company, once a while, will have one problem.
I work at a reputated tiles manufacturer, in Portugal, and I know that, besides the effort in making the best possible...
The only difference is: When we get a reclamation from one client, and if he's right, we make all the possible for solving the problem immediately.
Of course I contacted the Toshiba's service in Portugal, and they told me to wait.
I contacted the Toshiba's service in Europe... and they told me to wait.
That's why I am angry. I received a defective new notebook.
If they had no possibilities in repairing it quickly, I think they would give me a newone.
I know the Portugal market is small. But my money is like the others.

very sad f,sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nov 18, 2005 2:46AM PST

being a toshiba owner this is very disapointing f,sure.no pc maker is perfect yet they should be ready for your market with the part at least 2 days out.like i said on my above post---the smaller market suffers but your case is beyond sad.
send them a few letters on how much money you lost when your notebook has been down asking them if you should buy from them again with lack luster parts supply.dont stop sending till you get there responce!!!!

No motherboard
Nov 21, 2005 7:05PM PST

Toshiba's Europe don't have motherboards for M40X-309.
It's incredible!
They offered me 100 Euros for silence me.
I didn't accept, but I still don't have my notebook.
And when will it be? Never?

(NT) Good news!
Nov 23, 2005 4:35PM PST

At last!...
Twenty for days after I received my M40X-309 repaired.
I'm gonna pray for never having to return it to the Toshiba's service.
Guys, beyond the quality of Toshiba's material (or not) pay attention to the service in your zone.

Regards.

im so happy to hear that your proublem has been solved.i would still send some letters to the prez of toshiba letting him know what you went through so he can take a look at the structure of the area your in so no one else has to deal with the proublems that cost you to much time without your notebook.
