Don't buy SANSA M200 series...

by ronf / January 16, 2006 2:49 AM PST

After talking to 4 different tech support guru's one of them finally tells me that you cannot create a playlist from your own cd collection. Playlist will only work if using a supported online subscription. What a crock!

recent m200 buyer
by markizoto7 / January 16, 2006 5:01 AM PST

I just purchased an m260 and use it primarily with Rhapsody to go, and it has been working well. I have used WMP 10 to load songs that I own onto it. Can you maybe create a playlist on WMP10? The key for me was updating all of the ID tags to all my songs.

Also you can download the Rhapsody software for free and maybe you can try to manage your songs that way.

Hope that helps.

Use ID3 Tag as a playlist

Simply edit the "Genre" ID3 Tag of your favorites to "FAVORITES" then in the player play by genre.... there, instant playlist.

That's not accurate, you can create playlists from CD's Rips
by alpainter / January 25, 2006 12:41 AM PST

You can create playlists from CD's. I've ripped several CD's to my computer, and put the songs in playlists.

I'm surprised the tech support people didn't tell you that.
