- I would avoid using "the" because I'm almost certain people will forget it. It's also three extra letters to type and in terms of domain value, it adds nothing.
- I would also avoid crazy abbreviations like "vslmll". Nobody is going to remember that and the chance of error when typing it is high.
- I'd recommend either picker a little longer name (with meaningful words) and have it be a .com or something a bit shorter with a less common extension.
- If you are going to be a business, make sure you can register the business name so that it officially belongs to you, otherwise use something with your name.

So I've finally decided to bite the bullet and buy an actual domain rather than using a free provider for my old site (tjdesignwerks.webs.com). I would like to pay under $20 for the hosting/registration/whatever costs. I've been mulling it over to choose a site name but nothing really works. The site will be my work in:
-Graphic Design
-Video Editing
-Maybe music later on
-Basically digital art forms and whatever I want to post about lol
-Basically Media Related Site
Background info for site name ideas (domain after dot):
Name: Tim Jacob
Possible "Company" Names:
[The] Visual Mill.
[The] Visual Concourse.
[The] Visual Collective.
[The] _____ (idk) Creative.
timjacob.
tmjcb.
thetimjacob.
vslmll.
vslcllctv.
vslcllc.tv
(Is the exclusion of vowels tacky or modern/artsy?)
(Is "the" in front of my name cocky/arrogant?)
I would like a .com but of course that's not always available. .tv would work for the A/V half of my work but then the Graphic Design and Music half would be a bit off. .org, .net, and .co are okay I guess.
Would like to know which is the catchiest of the ones mentioned, and more suggestions, options, and ideas would be immensely appreciated!
Cheers!
