Question

Does Windows Sonic for Headphones improve stereos to?

Jul 14, 2017 4:16PM PDT

Does enabling Spatial sound format (Windows Sonic for Headphones) as well as checking the box to Turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound, improve a normal 5.1 home theater system?

On a related note is Dolby Atmos for headphones any better?

But should folks with normal equipment bother turning it on?

I had nothing special invested to get any benefits from it but one day I noticed it was there so I wondered if there was a downside to turning it on. (also I rarely use my headphones which was why I asked about the 5.1 system) and btw I am currently looking at your article.
