Little More Research

CPU:
great pick!

RAM:
G.Skill is undoubtedly the top rated brand, good choice there...
But why get the RipjawsX series?
Sniper series is better and MUCH cheaper (limited time though!)

make sure you look around and price check

MOBO:
VAPCMD is right! don't get that MOBO!!! please save yourself the trouble, if it has 3 stars always be weary when it comes to computer components. To this specific example the 970 was release prior to it's final state... it's a commonality when motherboards are developed with a new technology (not to say that this was necessarily was)

regardless here's a MUCH better AND cheaper one!
(same sata 2 ports, additional pci 2 (usually expensive addition), same great company, newer version, more stars,
better price... and I'll stop there)

I've been making builds for a number of years, I hope this advice will suit you! (if not, re-post and I if not someone else will update)

Maybe.....but I'd be looking for a MB with better reviews.

The one linked looks more like a crap shoot. That's a big risk especially if you're not buying locally and returns are quick and easy.

Ok thanks for the heads up. Happy

Can the CPU run with the RAM at 2133Mhz or would I have to bring it down to 1866?

Really really hard to say whether any RAM will run a the max

speed in any given system. Only way to know for sure is try it and then tweak it as necessary by bumping up the speed or the RAM voltage.

Start with a good MB first...then look for good RAM to go with it. Sadly users were not having good experiences with board you first proposed.
