May 16, 2014 11:09AM PDT

I have been looking up parts, going on forums, and asking my friends on their opinions of what parts i should get for my first pc build. This build is going to be made to play games like dark souls 2, bf4, skyrim, etc. at ultra or max settings and I am not going to overclock this thing. My parts include-
CPU

Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard

Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard drive
Video Card

Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB DirectCU II Video Card or gtx 760 from same manufacturer (Asus)
Case

NZXT Source 210 Elite (White) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply

Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive

Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer
Operating System

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

The case also comes with 2 120mm system fans should i get one more fan? (motherboard only has 3 system fan headers) You advice will be greatly appreciated.

be cautious about is the RAM. Some Corsair Vengeance modules have tall fins to dissipate heat however the fins can be tall enough to interfere with some larger heatsink fans. Personally I always use aftermarket HS fans because the better ones (not always the expensive ones) keep the CPU materially cooler (note: I don't overclock). If you want to check them out ....go to FROSTYTECH.COM and they've got ratings on a long list of CPU HS Fans that you can get consider.

Thanks on the advice but would i need to get a better hs fan, would the regular stock cooler that comes with the cpu be enough because i might not have room to put in more money, but if it is going to be needed then ill look into some hs fans

aftermarket CPU HS Fan in the beginning than it is does to do it 'later' as some of the HS mounting hardware goes on the underside of the MB. Having your system run 10-20c cooler than units with the stock cooler assures longer life and stable operation. Gamimg generates as lot of heat and put a lot of stress on the system.

If you check the 2 links below you'll find the highest rated RAM and the highest rated HS Fans....and two of the top three CPU HS Fans are $30.

That's my best advice to max the performance and reliability of your system without breaking the bank.
