Does the Garmin Vivosmart 3 wristband tear/rip easily?

Feb 7, 2019 6:47AM PST

I'm shopping around for a new fitness tracker for myself and my mother and the Garmin Vivosmart 3 seems like the best option for us in terms of specs and price point (I know the 4 just came out, but it's above my price range). However, I've seen some customer reviews about how the bands tear or rip after a few months of use.

Has anyone run into that issue? If so, is it because of the band size, or snagging it on stuff, or some other factor? Or are the wristbands just really poorly designed?
