Microsoft does charge for support but the scams are so many today that the likelihood it was a scam is very high.
So again, if bank or CC information was given then you take steps.
My 85+ year old father suddenly could not log into his Skype.
He went to skype.com started a chat with support.
The guy immediately remoted into his system.
He didn't fix the issue. He said he would call on the phone, but never did.
Does Skype support remote into systems?
Or was dad scammed?
How do we know? Should he notify his bank?
