Does not receive WAN IP address from fiber modem

May 8, 2018 7:04AM PDT

I am installing a new router. It seems that the router dont receive an IP address from the fiber modem. My ISP says that the modem is providing a dynamic IP address.

From the router GUI:
Cable Status: Connected
Connection Type: Dynamic IP (DHCP)
Network Status: Connecting
Connection Uptime: 0 Day 0 Hour 0 Min 0 Sec
MAC Address: 74:DA:DA:52:7A:6D
IP Address: Not Available
Subnet Mask: Not Available
Default Gateway: Not Available
Primary DNS Server:Not Available
Secondary DNS Server: Not Available

I dont know where to look so any help will be appreciated.

Answer
Sounds like it's back to the ISP.

There's nothing here to work except to confirm it's down but no reason why.

In closing, without a make and model I can't look to see if others are reporting same issue.

The router is now connected to the internet after the cables has been connected over night.
