around your devices.. most people put their 2.4ghz CORDLESS phone, close to the Aceespoint...
Did you have enable your security (WEP/WPA/WPA2) and use SSID... Entered your SSID and password and choose always connect to or default connection.
Other thing you can try is to change your WiFi channel.
Hi, I have a wireless network setup at home with a Netgear Wireless Router with 2 desktops connnected by wire and 1 notebook connected wirelessly.
The problem is my notebook always tries to connect to my neighbours router even though the signal being received is very weak. I may be sitting next to my own router and it does see it but does not connect to it. I then have to go through a process of disconnecting the wireless on my notebook and reconnecting. The second time around, it connects okay with my network.
Why does it connect to the lower powered router of my neighbour ? His is a 'B' while mine is a 54 MHz 'G'. I have tried to remove my neighbour's ID from my network but it still find and connects to it.
Any assistance to resolve this is appreciated.
