And will emit other messages which have never helped anyone fix these issues.
About the video. Usually cured by installed the video card driver. Microsoft will not fetch or install this for us or the motherboard drivers too.
About the mouse. I would, while safe mode, find my way to the control panel, device manager and remove all the mice that are in that. On reboot, if it's a fairly stock mouse and on a PS2 port, will just work.
I am running WindowsMe on a HP Pavillion desktop.
Whenever I run Windows in normal mode, my mouse function is gone and the screen resolution is at 16 bit. I only have function of my keyboard. I have tried changing the resolution back to 256 in the Display area of the control panel but each time I restart Windows, it's back in 16bit mode. My mouse still doesn't work.
In Safe Mode, however, my mouse functions properly. I launched DrWatson to see where the problem was on my computer and it said "does not appear to be a Windows 95 plug-and-play compatible display driver."
Is there anyway I can fix this problem? And is this problem related to not being able to use my mouse in Normal mode, 16bit res?
Thanks for the help!
