Resolved Question

Does Netflix need different video settings.

Feb 18, 2014 10:25AM PST

I just adjusted my LG 42LN5700 TV using CNET's recommended settings. DVDs and cinematic TV shows, like "The Walking Dead' look great. Movies streaming on Netflix still have the soap opera effect big time. Any suggestions?

When Netflix launches folk have complained that settings in the HDTV are ignored. Since Netflix is all over the map on versions you are left to fish around for settings INSIDE the Netflix app.

"If you have a new Sony Bravia and use Netflix the ONLY way to turn this setting off for the "internet display device" is to go to Youtube, start a video, pause it, then go to display settings and disable motionflow."
