Does HDMI cable speed matter for dvd upconverter audio?

so i have a Pioneer DVD upconverter model DV-410V-K working with a Sharp 32" HDTV. i purchased a Monster ultra-series 600 HDMI to work with both.

my main question is, does the speed of the HDMI cable matter when using it with a dvd upconverter? the problem that i'm having is that the sound in the dvd does not always sync up to what the people in the dvd are saying (kind of like an old translated japanese film). the only way to get it to be fixed is to shut the whole dvd player down and then reboot and it usually is fine from there. so, does the cable speed matter?

and i only ask, since it is reasonable to say its the dvd player, is that i purchased a phillips dvd upcoverter and had the same problem. i took the player back and upgraded to the pioneer and i'm still having the same problem. any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

thanks

that only comes into play when you use 'DeepColor' & that is not found on dvd's but bluray.

Is the HDMI running straight to the TV??

Sounds like the tv, since it has happen on 2 diffrent players. Call Sharp see if the TV needs an update

this should be a pretty easy fix for a TV tech, when he or she goes into the service menu to change the HDMI sound delay.
