Question

Does anyone make a 7" tablet with a good camera?

Sep 20, 2012 6:20AM PDT

I am looking for a 7" tablet for the ease of portability. But would like to have the size to use it as a sales tool rather than trying to display pictures on a cell phone. I am not aware of anyone who makes a 7" tablet with a good 5mp camera like the iPhone 4s or an 8mp like many of the android phones have in them. Has anyone heard of any rumors of such a thing coming out? Besides the supposed iPad mini.

Answer
I've yet to find a good camera on any phone or tablet.

And even though my criteria is pretty low as I think a good camera compares well to say a Kodak z760 or Kodak z990, no phone or tablet has come close to passing my low expectations.

Best to my knowledge only "Blackberry Playbook" has 5 megapixels primary camera and 3 megapixels secondary camera with (16GB) 7 inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1024 x 600 pixels, it's there on Amazon for around $199.
And next to it Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 has 3 megapixels primary camera and 0.3 megapixels secondary camera.
Rest all have 0.3 or around 1megapixels camera in 7" tablet not more than that.

a high performance camera on a tablet. Mainly because a professional is just going to buy a camera. A camera is nice but I don't think it's the number reason someone would purchase a tablet. You can always use another device to take the pictures upload them to the tablet for your sales presentations.
