Does anyone know this virus?

I have a system which is suffereing from a virus, but none of my scanners seem to identify it. The symptoms are it puts a virus message on the desktop changes the wall paper and moves start bar. If any body has any ideas on what it might be please let me know

What kind of a virus message does it put on the desktop?
Could it be something like: ''You're infected...''? Is it asking you to download virus protection?
Perhaps it's a variant of Smitfraud.
