Question

Does anyone know of a network status utility?

Jun 8, 2011 8:53AM PDT

Hi there. The internet connection at our business goes down overnight, every night. It is not the fault of the ISP, but some setting somewhere. Fact is, for the time being we are just trying to find out the precise time when this happens, so we can find out a reason. Is there a utility that can monitor the status and tell you at what point it stopped? Thanks in advance for your help.

This should be logged in the event viewer built into XP. Finding the specific record may be a bit of a pain, but it's free.

Never thought of that. Thanks for the tip; I'll into it when I get back to work.
