General discussion

does a PSP work with iTunes

Feb 24, 2006 9:21PM PST

Hey, my friend just got a PSP and he has a pretty large iTunes library. I was just wondering if he could put those songs on his PSP directly from his iTunes, or if not, if there is asoe other reliable way to put it on there. Thanks guys

Non-DRM, no prob

well, with sony there are always hoops to jump through. I've found that AAC files play ok, but the extensions need to be changed to .mp4
video needs to be massaged, but it's doable.
If it's purchased content, DRM will be a real roadblock. Legalities aside, it's been my experience that if you want to do something badly enough, it's doable.
I guess that makes me a macguyverite.
Are you more interested in itunes video or audio?

AAC files work fine

One of the 2.x updates made it able to play AAC files. But as long as they are non-DRM'ed. I use PSPWare on my Mac to transfer some of my AAC files to listen to, and they work just fine. PSPWare is a great program. They have both a Mac and a Windows version. If you're interested, check them out at:
