Resolved Question

documents, music and videos merged

Dec 29, 2014 8:15PM PST

Hi all,

I got a new PC with windows 8.1 yesterday. I tried to move the documents, music, video, favourites, etc. folders to a hard drive (windows itself is stored on a SSD). The problem I have is that I accidently made the folders for documents, music and video all the same so when I open up the explorer all 3 shortcuts say documents and point to the same location. If I change the location of 1 shortcut all 3 now change.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd make a new Windows user. Then make the correct folders and copy the old stuff into it. When done, delete the original user.

Thanks,

Seems to have cleared the problem. Can't believe I didn't think of this myself.
