Document Scanning/Sorting

Jan 1, 2008 11:31AM PST

I have read numerous reviews, and cannot determine what will do the job. I am interested in a scanner with software that could not only scan and file receipts, but medical information, bills by individual company (oil, electric, phone) so that they will be kept in organized folders/files and could be retrieved easily. Is there such a program that can scan and organize these many categories and more?

If you are not interested in the 4 to 5 figure price tag for this then just about any scanner and your manual filing, tagging will have to do.

Well, if you already have the scanner, I can tell about a great online document management system called Scanmountain. It sounds exactly like what you were describing when you said you wanted to manage your files after scanning them into your computer. And it's online, so you can access it anywhere! I, and some of my friends, have been using it for a while now, and we've been very pleased with the service. Check them out at www.scanmountain.com
