Doctors vs Hunters...

Dec 1, 2003 2:03AM PST

--PLEASE TAKE TIME TO REVIEW!!

A. The number of physicians in the US is 700,000.

B. Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year is 120,000.

C. Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171 (US Dept. of Health & Human Services)

Then think about this:

A. The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000 (yes, 80 million).

B. The number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups) is 1,500.

C. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0000188.

Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

FACT:
NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.
We must ban doctors before this gets out of hand.

As a public service, I have omitted the statistics on lawyers for fear that the shock could cause people to seek immediate MEDICAL attention!

But what is the ratio of doctors deliberately killing people and of gun owners deliberately killing people.

because abortion falls into that as well as the assisted suicides and the fact than several of those deliberately killing people with guns are gun owning doctors.

Then one must include the people the plug is pulled on as well as the felons killed by lethal injection as it is done by a medical doctor.

Should I go on or are you seeing the light? Wink

It reminds me of a doctor strike a number of years ago ...
Dec 1, 2003 8:08AM PST

I think it was during my adolescence, but I'm not sure. A city (Canadian? US? can't remember) had a dispute between the local physicians and a local hospital. The physicians staged a strike.

During the strike the death rate in the city significantly declined.

The decreased death rate was attributed to the fact that there were no elective medical procedures going on. The may be correct, but it does give one pause.

There was one of these in California a few decades ago with similar results.
