What are the signal levels when you type in 192.168.100.1?
Also can you post the logs from that interface?
Clear the MAC addresses out of any error messages they are unimportant and it can be a security risk to post those.
About 3 months ago I was having difficulty getting internet (we have Charter Communications). When I called Charter they told me that my Docsis 2.0 modem was obsolete and I should by a Docsis 3.0. I did - I bought a Mortorola SB6120 and at the same time a new router from Cisco.
Internet was never better until we had quite a storm about a week ago. The power was out 51 hours (luckily we were not at home). When we returned the cable worked fine for the TV and phone but we could not get internet service.
They sent out a technician who said many things that did not make sense. He said my router might not be compatible with the modem (it worked fine for 3 months) - he also said that the modem might be fried from the storm (wouldn't that have effected tv and phone too?).
He installed the old modem (docsis 2.0?) but now internet is very slow and I have to reset the modem and router quite often to get service (I didn't have to do this at all for 3 months)
If the modem is fried what modem should I get now?
Thank you.
