There are now plenty of memory expansion devices but the onboard storage is best.

Only those selling those expansions will disagree.

Answer
expand

Hello AllisonY77! It would have been great if it was possible to expand the memory of an iPhone! I use mine all the time and it has clearly replaced my laptop and desktop computer. However, memory became an issue within a few years of use and it was not easy to get a new iPhone straight away. I do hope that Apple will come up with something to solve the issue soon! 

I transfer files on my phone to my computer regularly to empty the storage.
